COMPARISON FRAMEWORK

Six points of comparison.

  1. Stimulation location“Vagus nerve stimulation” can refer to implanted, cervical, or auricular approaches. The interface and anatomical location define the method.
  2. Disclosed parametersUse instructions, parameter ranges, and program definitions describe the protocol. Mode count alone does not establish results.
  3. Control architectureStimulation control may reside on the device, in an app, or across both; safety functions can follow a different architecture.
  4. Evidence scopeGeneral taVNS research is useful context, but it is not automatically evidence for a named device.
  5. Regulatory statusIntended use and market authorization vary by region. Development status does not indicate certification or availability.
  6. Undisclosed detailsPricing, launch dates, battery life, dimensions, and in-box contents remain unknown until published.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Short answers, clear boundaries.

What should I compare between taVNS devices?

Compare the stimulation location, disclosed parameters, controls, safety information, evidence that is specific to the device, regulatory status in your region, and product availability.

Does having more programs mean better clinical performance?

Not necessarily. A program count describes an interface or configuration; it does not by itself establish safety, effectiveness, or suitability.

Can an app replace device-level safety controls?

An app and the device can have different roles. Buyers should look for a clear explanation of where stimulation control and safety functions reside.

Are NeuroThaw A and B certified or available?

No certification, market authorization, availability, pricing, or launch date has been announced for either configuration.
